Ansel Adams is one of the most respected names in photography. During his lifetime he produced hundreds of images that became familiar across the world, as tributes to the epic landscapes of North America. Since his death he's become an institution, remembered equally fondly for the quality of his work and the conservationist sentiment with which it is attached.
Along with other prominent photographers, Adams co-founded a group called F/64 in 1932. The name refers to an f.stop setting on cameras which produces a high degree of clarity with a large depth of field.

Blog 6

The photo was taken again with a point and shot camera. The fore ground is a little blurry however it has a nice starting point in the pic. I feel as the trees on the left pull your eyes up the photo to the top and then you are drwn back down and around in a cicrle. The colors are not to briliant and the earth tones make the image enjoyable to most eyes.

Critic

#1 The picture is nice that the subject is in focus and the lines lead the male eye into the picture through the course of the water. The exposure seems to be nice and correct.

#2 Long exposure makes the water look slow and smooth the layers of the ground are there and the lines are even and ok the colors are some what fact.

#3 it seems as thought the picture is made up of several different pictures or might just be exposed in several different settings. The color is simple and yet defined.

#4 The for ground is something to be desired however the sky really draws your attention with the tall peaks. The sky seems to be set apart by the brilliant tone of the two stop contrast.

#5 The fore ground on this picture seems to me to be the subject while the background adds texture and depth those things may not be neede3d for the pic to speak to us.

#6 I like the simplicity of the single bird to follow the complexity of the previous pics. The colors are bright and really set the bird apart from the rest of the image. The focus and out of focus also add depth to the image.

#7 This looks fake. The Photoshop work or the image modification doesn't seem to do this what could be a great shot justice.

#8 The natural light and look of this is great and the fact that everything is not lite up is what keeps the imagination going. Mystery is a good thing. Most of us tell and share to much.

#9 The exposure might of been just a little longer to get great definition in the birds wings. The focus and definition are great as the colors are not to powerful to overshadow the bird.

#10This seems as a cool pic and something to talk about however it looks pretty balsa as compared to some of the rich colors and details in the previous images. Still a great pic and something to have a great story and conversation about.

Blog 5

this is a pic of light in the back ground and the subject being in a slightly dimmer light. The subject is hard to distinugh however, I feel that it really talks the rodeo cowboy and the life he/she grows up with. Those that are competitive and independent find get suceuss in life. 

Blog 4

This picture is a cool picture that was taken this past spring while checking cows. I like that it keeps the whole image in focus. While it does that, there is still good clarity in the middle ground of the picture. The fore ground has attention drawn to it based on the flow of the rock formation. This seems to really focus the attention of the picture to a wider area of the picture. The shadows of the rock on top makes it seems as though the top rock is hovering or standing on the icicles that are formed off the front face of the rock.

Some of the greatest thins found in the world are off the beaten path and really need to be looked for. This photo of the rocks was in a large out cropping. Many of the pics where of the whole however the close up of this one rock really sets it apart.

A simple pic of a good friend. Took this with a  point and shot but still a great memory. Not a lot to say about it however a pic is worth a thousand words.

Blog 2

This picture was taken with the 35mm to my best guess and was on film. I would like to let every one know that is my best guess and I really have no idea. On another thought this man has been photographing for over forty years and I one of many folks that has transitioned from the film to digital world of modern day.

It seems as thought this individual has found many different opportunities from the transition and capitalized on many of them. One that is able to anticipate the future and act before that action becomes a reaction is miles ahead of the competition.

I like the setting that he has made home as well as the fact that he has stuck with and stead fast to the occupation that his heart is in which happens to be photography.
